Suchita Sharmin

Dr. Shuchita Sharmin Professor at the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. Along with Bangladesh, she has experience of studying, lecturing and researching, in more than 10 countries of the world. She has extensive research experience in different areas of development studies, psychology, organization and business studies, etc. Dr. Sharmin has work experience with the Government, NGOs, UN agencies and INGOs for more than 18 years within Bangladesh and abroad. She also engages in varied community outreach through capacity building, volunteering activities, team building, communication and interpersonal skills, training activities, etc. Her major research work includes development issues in social sciences such as, sustainable development and SDGs: sustainable livelihoods; disaster and vulnerability; rural and community development; social development; gender dimensions; indigenous people's lives institutions, local knowledge, rights; child rights; rights of the people with disability; inclusive development; corporate community involvement; work of NGOs, CBOs and the consequences; educational psychology and education in development, etc.
