Dr. Afsana Karim

Professor Afsana Karim Graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1983 and got her M. Phil Degree in Pharmacology from IPGM&R (now BSMMU) IN 1990. She has been working in different Government and Private medical Colleges and Medical Institutes since 1991. She was awarded one year's (1996-1997) WHO research fellowship at the department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Bangkok. She has been consistently involved in research and has a number of publications in reputed journals. The prestigious professional society, American Diabetes Association (ADA) has awarded her membership for her continued research interest on diabetes in 2004. As the Resource Person of BCPS, Professor Afsana Karim regularly delivers lectures on Research Ethics in the workshops on Research Methodology organized by BCPS. Professor (Dr.) Afsana Karim was involved in Editorial Board of Bangladesh Drug National Formulary (BDNF) - the official publication of Drug Administration of Bangladesh (DGDA) from 1st to 5th edition initially as the Assistant Editor and finally as the Chief Editor of BDNF
