Catherine Flynn

Catherine Flynn Associate Professor of English at University of California, Berkeley where she works on Irish modernist literature and culture in a European avant-garde context and on critical theory. She is a member of the editorial advisory board of the James Joyce Quarterly and a Trustee of the International James Joyce Foundation. She trained in architecture at University College Dublin before practicing in Vienna and Cork. She is the author of James Joyce and the Matter of Paris (Cambridge University Press, 2019) and co-editor of a special issue of the James Joyce Quarterly titled 'Joycean Avant-Gardes' (2017). She is the editor of The Cambridge Centenary Ulysses: The 1922 Text with Essays and Notes (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
