Amongst many volumes we rarely find one or two books in our hands. Such books as whose matter and language are both exemplary. In most cases in the modern times there is a dangerous tendency to discard tradition. We do not know how much people want to discard their classic thoughts and ideas by the use of scientific discoveries and extensive use of techniques. The modern world wants to present a society whose pace is so fast that it is rare to find a space to think twice in it. But our ancient wise people, the sages think the thoughts for us few people who are lousy showing the light to the commercial world, not so much the thought process of people. Far away in some regions, nurtured by some far away culture some persons have the magic wand in his hand by which the people of various places in the world, influencing human biengs of various tastes languages and cultures, brought up in various atmospheres. That is to say, mankind is forgetting to understand and think on their own. We want to escape this misfortune. But merely saying would not get it for us. We must have the strength to desire it, and at the same time we must know what the object of our desire is like. Keeping all these desires in mind, we are going on searching for books whose effects are eternal, those books which have made our earlier generations think, those which have carreid the torch of that much-stated Renaissance of Bengal.
