In his earlier books Memories of Early Life in English and Jibon Patar Jolchap in Bangla, the author recounted from memories certain facts upto the finishing of his formal education in 1980. This book Trajectory of a Judicial Officer contains facts and events that he witnessed, saw, experienced and faced since after the end of education in 1980. Life and career pass through odds and evens. The author served in different branches of the government for about 35 years. He could see governance and governments from close vicinity. He depicts in this book major facts and experiences that he came across in his career. Readers, by reading the book, may learn facts about different aspects of judiciary, civil services, public administration, police, politics, etc. The author also writes how apart from rendering services, the public servants may also indulge in corrupt practices, and, thus render painful disservices to citizens. He also writes how Black Holes in administration swallow up and hide important facts and truths forever. His introspection into governance, analysis of politics and Constitution, perception of corruption and measures suggested for progressive improvement appear to be valuable. He also writes how, from time to time, he could help make or reform laws. In his estimation, the administration, law and justice are still largely outmoded, lacking in expected transparency, accountability and desired efficacy. Politics needs substantive reforms for progressive improvement. The author recounts how throughout life in the Government he saw facts, learnt lessons, understood truths, faced troubles and tried to contribute his mite for improvement of governance within his imited ambit.
