Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad

Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad is a distinguished Bangladeshi economist, human-centred development thinker and practitioner, and climate policy leader. A public economist by training and practice, he has worked relentlessly to offer ideas and pathways towards shaping policies, while playing a pivotal role in building and leading institutions devoted to human capability development, poverty eradication, inclusive growth, and sustainable development. Over the past six decades, he has written profusely on diverse pertinent subjects and interacted immensely with people belonging to different walks of life from within Bangladesh and without. He is the recipient of the highest and the second highest Bangladesh State Civilian Awards: Swadhinata Puraskar (Independence Award) and Ekushey Padak.
