Few biographical works have their titles – “A Silent Warrior” – as appropriately suited to the person on whom it is written as the one on Masud Sadique, our very own Chullu Bhai. He considered his contribution to the country's freedom struggle to be sacred and personal. It was his tribute to his motherland, which he loved and wanted to protect with his life. Speaking about it seemed to him like ‘claiming some credit for it, which was to him a sacrilege to the memory of our martyrs and an affront to his own sense of dignity. He never spoke about his heroic role during Muktijuddho to anybody, ever. In every sense, he was the epitome of a "silent warrior” that we endeavour to bring out in this volume dedicated in his memory.
