Anna, a twenty-year-old young woman who barely makes a living as a hairdresser, her twin brother Luka, a scooter delivery driver, and their roommate Matteo, who sells sex to both men and women, have only one week left to gather the money for their rent. From solitary wanderings in a bleak city to encounters carrying fragile promises, they follow the uncertain thread of their lives, until Carole, a client at the hair salon, draws closer to Anna for a mysterious reason and seems determined to change the course of her destiny.
This portrait of a new century—harsh, queer, and anxious—is depicted with a cold precision beneath which an obvious tenderness for these marginal paths quietly emerges.
